Terms of Service.

Last updated: 16 May 2026

These terms govern your use of HelpSorted, operated by HelpSorted Pty Ltd ("we", "us"). By using the site or signing up as a service provider, you agree to be bound by these terms.

1. The service

HelpSorted is an online directory connecting Australian consumers with local service providers. All listings are free. We do not currently offer any paid plans, and we do not charge service providers for placement, features, or leads. If we introduce paid features in future, these terms will be updated before those features go live.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old to create a service-provider account. Service providers must hold any licences required by Australian law to perform the work they advertise (for example, QBCC licensing for trade work in Queensland).

3. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

  • Misrepresent your identity, business, qualifications, or service area.
  • Send unsolicited commercial messages to customers (separately, you must comply with the Spam Act 2003).
  • Use the platform to harass, defame, or discriminate against any user.
  • Scrape, copy, or systematically extract listing data without our written permission.
  • Attempt to bypass payment, plan limits, or security controls.

We may suspend or terminate any account that breaches these rules.

4. Reviews

Reviews submitted through HelpSorted must reflect genuine customer experience. Soliciting fake reviews, paying for reviews, or threatening customers over reviews is grounds for immediate termination. We may remove reviews that we reasonably believe to be inauthentic.

5. Payment and cancellation

We do not currently offer any paid plans. This section applies only if and when paid features are introduced.

  • Paid plans are billed in advance for the chosen period (monthly or annually).
  • All prices are in AUD and inclusive of 10% GST.
  • You may cancel at any time. Cancellation takes effect at the end of your current billing period and we do not refund unused time.
  • If you do not pay an invoice within 14 days, your paid features may be paused.

6. Content ownership

You own the content you upload (logos, descriptions, photos, reviews you collect). By uploading it, you grant us a non-exclusive licence to display, store, and adapt it for the purpose of operating the service. You confirm you have the rights to share any content you upload.

7. Studio sites

If you subscribe to the Studio tier, we host a marketing site for you at your custom domain. You remain responsible for the accuracy of all content displayed on that site, including any AI-generated copy. If you cancel Studio, we will keep your site live for 30 days, then take it offline.

8. Liability

HelpSorted facilitates introductions but is not party to the work performed by service providers. We do not vet workmanship, pricing, or outcomes. To the maximum extent permitted by Australian Consumer Law, our liability to you is limited to the fees you have paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim. We do not exclude any rights that cannot be excluded by law (for example, consumer guarantees under the ACL).

9. Termination

You may close your account at any time from your dashboard. We may terminate or suspend access if you breach these terms, if we have to wind down the service, or if we are required to by law. Closed accounts retain data for 12 months for billing and dispute purposes, then it is deleted.

10. Changes

We may update these terms. If we make material changes, we will notify active account holders by email and the new terms take effect 14 days after notice.

11. Dispute resolution and governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of Queensland, Australia. If you have a complaint, contact us first at hello@helpsorted.com.au. If we cannot resolve it, the dispute will be heard in the courts of Queensland.

12. Contact

Questions? Email hello@helpsorted.com.au.

These terms are a starting point and have not been reviewed by a lawyer. Before relying on them commercially, get them reviewed by an Australian consumer-law solicitor.
