Skip Bin Hire
near Wilsonton Heights.

Skip bin hire in South East Queensland covers everything from a small mini bin for a weekend declutter to a large 12m³ marrel bin for a full renovation strip-out. Knowing the right size and the right operator saves you both money and headaches, overflow charges, late pickups, and bins that won''t fit through your gate are the three most common complaints we hear from SE QLD households.

Most SE QLD skip bin operators charge by bin size and hire duration. A 2m³ mini skip suits a garage clean-out and runs $200-300 for 3-5 days. A 4-6m³ skip handles a small renovation and runs $350-500 for 7 days. A larger 8-12m³ marrel bin for major projects can be $500-900+. Council-area surcharges apply in some Brisbane and Gold Coast suburbs.

What to ask before hiring a skip bin

• Pickup window. Most operators allow 5-7 days standard hire. Confirm what extension fees look like if your project runs over.
• Permit requirement. If the bin needs to sit on the road or footpath (not your driveway), your local council requires a permit. Some operators arrange this for you; others leave it to you.
• Restricted waste. Tyres, mattresses, gas bottles, paint tins, and asbestos are restricted across QLD. Ask what their policy is and what surcharges apply.
• Access requirements. Marrel trucks need around 3.5m of vertical clearance and a hard surface to set down. Confirm access if your property has overhanging trees or a soft lawn.
• Public liability insurance. Reputable operators carry $10M+ public liability. Ask to see the certificate.
